Christianity Is Beautiful

Beautiful. That’s how I would describe Christianity.

It is beautiful in its love and logic.
It is beautiful in how it fulfills every part of our humanity.
It beautifully satisfies the longings of our hearts, the wanderings of our minds and the realities of our experiences.
It is beautiful because it flows from The Most Beautiful One – God.

It’s as real as the reality it informs us of. While leaving room for genuine doubt, it gives enough to sustain hope in a bleak and hopeless world without naively distorting our view of it through rose-coloured glasses. And just enough but not too much as to cause us to stop but to encourage us to press into the higher reaches of our destinies.
That’s because it isn’t just about do’s and don’t’s or will’s and won’t’s. It is about being.
Being born, being spiritually revived into what we were originally designed to be and in a relationship with The One we were originally made for. It’s about living my life fully from the day I trusted in God’s plans for me.

More than impersonal concepts, it’s about my loving Heavenly Father telling me I’m awesomely, lovingly and deliberately made and therefore, so is my future and my hope.
But that cannot be until I have been restored from the fallen state I was in which rebelled and fell away from His intended future and hope for me with lies, lusts, murders and greeds. A dead person cannot restore him/herself and that’s what we all are, spiritually dead from the fatal wounds of our wrongdoings. But God, not wanting us to be separated from Him sent His perfect son Jesus to pay for our fatal penalties on The Cross thereby clearing the way for our restoration, our return home, our return to Him – how it was always meant to be.

Justice and mercy had met at The Cross with the overwhelming weight of Jesus’ purity quenching justice and overflowing mercy onto me. And not just me but for everyone.
More exciting yet, He invites me to be His eyes, ears, hands and feet in His business of restoring, resurrecting and rebuilding all that’s down here until it is replaced by all that’s up there.

It is the spark in my heart, the clarity in my mind, the fight in my will, the strength in my step and the jewel in my vision. It is a boundless, beautiful relationship and a gift available to everyone. Including you.
