The Supernatural in the Natural 3

Previously, we considered how the supernatural principles of Sin and Grace had reflections in the natural. Now let’s consider another reflector of supernatural principles, Birth.

There you were, happily living in your mother’s womb. It’s warm, it’s comfortable, it’s all you’ve ever known. Then to your little mind, your world collapses.
Literally.

Without your knowledge, let alone comprehension, your world, the womb collapses around you. In a surge of hormones, blood and crushing pressure, you are convulsed into another world. One which you could never have smelt, touched or tasted. You did however have hints of it as you grew up, perceiving some of its lights and sounds but even then, you never could fully experience those.
Until now, until your birth.

But you had to let go of your old world and go through the agony of entering the new. You had to be born. But it was worth it because what you were about to enter was beyond what you could ever hope or imagine. And you will finally meet face to face those you had heard hints of, you will finally see them as they are, you will finally fully meet those who love you.

The reflection isn’t a surprise…

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.
