There are two features in Islam worth noting. Firstly, the qur’an, like allah is considered to be eternal. Secondly, the word Islam itself means submission.
Put those two concepts together and one sees that allah wants submissive, obedient subordinates. God on the other hand wants a loving, vibrant family relationship with all who have claimed His Son’s gift of salvation.
This would be why allah throws a book of rules at you (an eternal one at that) whereas God lives, dies and resurrects life giving principles down here in the grimey reality of life on earth side by side with His children.
Bombs vs Blood spilled by a Father sacrificing for His children – Little wonder that the two worldviews when properly understood and lived out result in utterly different outcomes.
Little wonder the need for The Gospel.
