Science is in Jesus´ legacy, and it helps us understand the shift that Jesus Christ brought. We don´t get “cast down” by God the punisher. Jesus himself talked about the OT “God wanting mercy, not sacrifice” (Matt 9:13) and “I do not judge…but to save….”John 12:47. His Creation is not a place that coddles, however, and our efforts to learn about God through Jesus or God´s created world are really joined. Science helps us with mental discipline, and studying Jesus´ integrity and legacy helps move from fear and lack of understanding and wisdom into knowledge of God´s love.
