What Others Meant For Evil

“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”
Genesis 50:20

It’s hard not to be pessimistic when you see all the evil in this world. From the raging brutality of Islamic State in the Middle East, to the sexual confusion and butchery profiteering of babies closer to home, hope seems fleeting.

But history has lessons to teach us. Here’s one where God used an exploitative, treaty of greed to rescue His people in the most unlikely of places – World War 2 Shanghai.
