“My body, my choice“.
“Children only need two loving parents.”
“We want to die with dignity.”
“That’s your truth, it’s all relative.”
Much of what said against the truth are no more than shallow sound bites. The problem is, it works. But only if you let it.
How does it work? By the following principle…
”The receptivity of the great masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.”
Who said that?
Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf, 1925.
The methods haven’t changed, so don’t let the incessant repetition of shallow slogans persuade you or anyone else. Let them instead be a reminder to you of the horrors which await if you let the lessons of history go unlearned.
History doesn’t have to repeat and you can be a positive part of that.
“All new news is old news happening to new people”
Malcolm Muggeridge
