“I’m going to work in a brothel” she said to me. My heart sank as my mind scrambled upwards seeking wisdom on what to do next. What to say?
Clearly, she’d given this some thought to get to this point. Talking her out of this would not be easy. It’ll most certainly be uncomfortable and possibly unwelcomed. But we’re not down here to just do easy and comfortable are we?
So we talked. We parted ways and I was left wondering what will happen. Perhaps the only thing I had done was offend?
I saw her days later. By the Grace Of God she had changed her mind.

We had a longer chat. This obviously started with a distorted love of money. But why this particular false solution for the situation she was in?
Turns out, the idea came from her friend and she had got the idea from watching a movie based on a book. A book which glamourised this particular industry. An industry that cares nothing for the people in it and only for what they can exploit them for.

This is why it matters what you expose others to.
This is why life must be lived on more than just sound bites.
This is why you matter in a sin sick world full of lies and soul darkening counsel.
Be the Salt and Light you are made to be. The world needs All Of Us to.
