You’ve just put the finishing touches on your masterpiece, a labour of love which you have poured your passion into. Finally satisfied with what you see, you declare it is good and proudly put it on display. Then someone comes along, admires it and declares that someone else did it.
Of course, you are not impressed.
But it gets worse. Just when you’re about to utter your protest lest this untruth spreads, another person comes along and says it looks good but no one did it at all – this was simply the product of random, meaningless chance. Nothing more.
